Sie braucht viel Mut und Esprit, um den K\u00f6nig nicht mit den bedr\u00fcckenden Geschichten dieses Landes zu langweilen! Im Laufe der N\u00e4chte l\u00f6st die Verzweiflung die Angst, und die Entz\u00fcckung die Verzweiflung ab. Sie teilt ihre Geschichten in drei Kapitel auf und beginnt folgendermassen: \u201eMan behauptet, oh gl\u00fcckseliger K\u00f6nig, dass in einem traurigen Land unter allen L\u00e4ndern\u2026.\u201c \u00a0 Der Entz\u00fcckte Scheherazade zweifelt daran, dem K\u00f6nig weiterhin Geschichten erz\u00e4hlen zu k\u00f6nnen, die ihm gefallen, solange ihre Erz\u00e4hlungen so voller Schwermut sind. Sie fl\u00fcchtet aus dem Palast, durchquert das K\u00f6nigreich auf der Suche nach Vergn\u00fcgen und Entz\u00fccken und trifft sich mit ihrem Vater, dem Grosswesir, auf einem Riesenrad. Und Scheherazade nimmt ihre Erz\u00e4hlung wieder auf: \u201cOh gl\u00fcckseliger K\u00f6nig, vierzig Jahre nach der Nelkenrevolution in der alten Agglomeration von Lissabon, gab es eine verwunschene Gemeinschaft, die es sich zur Aufgabe machte, mit Passion und Hingabe den V\u00f6geln das Singen beizubringen\u2026.\u201c. Und als der neue Tag sich ank\u00fcndigt, schweigt Scheherazade.<\/p>\n
