Wien, Anfang der 30er-Jahre: Eines Nachts findet sich ein neuer Patient auf Sigmund Freuds Couch ein \u2013 ein geheimnisvoller Graf, der die \u201eendlos\u201c andauernde Beziehung mit seiner Frau nicht mehr ertr\u00e4gt. Sie sei eitel, sie nerve, er hasse sie einfach. St\u00e4ndig wolle sie von ihm Komplimente h\u00f6ren, wolle ihre Sch\u00f6nheit best\u00e4tigt wissen \u2013 denn sie k\u00f6nne sich nicht im Spiegel\u00a0betrachten.
Freud, der nicht ahnt, dass es sich bei Graf und Gr\u00e4fin um Vampire handelt, wei\u00df gleich eine \u2013 vermeintliche \u2013 L\u00f6sung: Was der Spiegel nicht vermag, kann vielleicht auf einem Bild festgehalten werden. Und so gibt Freud seinem Patienten die Adresse des jungen Malers Viktor.
Und tats\u00e4chlich, kaum ist der Graf vor dessen Wohnung, sind seine Lebensd\u00fcrste auch wiedererweckt: Denn in Viktors Freundin, der h\u00fcbschen Lucy, vermeint der Graf, seine vor Hunderten von Jahren verblichene Geliebte Nadila wiederzukennen. Mit ihr \u2013 oder der, f\u00fcr die er sie h\u00e4lt \u2013 k\u00f6nnte der Graf nun endlich wieder ein gl\u00fcckliches Dasein fristen. W\u00e4re da nicht die Gr\u00e4fin. Und Viktor. Und h\u00e4tte Lucy nicht ihre eigene Vorstellung davon, wie sie ihr Leben gestalten will. Schnell spitzt sich die Situation zu \u2013 und endet in einem Ehestreit, bei dem selbst Freud nicht mehr wei\u00df, wie ihm geschieht.<\/p>\n
